Knautia macedonica 'Thunder and Lightning'

Garden plant for fertile free-draining soil in a sunny position. Drought tolerant once established. Good in the cottage, wild-flower or meadow style gardens. Attracts bees and butterflies.

Variegated light green leaves edged with creamy white are shaped like lightening bolts. Round pincushion like dark reddish-purple flowers on slender stems from mid-summer to the first frosts. Cut flowers are ideal in fresh bouquets.
