  Chaenomeles japonica 'Jet trail' (Japanese quince)

Chaenomeles japonica 'Jet trail'   Chaenomeles japonica 'Jet Trail' is a compact, spreading shrub to 1m tall and 1.2m wide with glossy oval to oblong leaves. A profusion of pure white flowers up to 4.5cm in diameter open in small clusters on the bare stems in early spring and are followed by green fruits which ripen to yellow.

Cultivation : Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Will grow on a shaded wall, but blooms and fruits best in sun. Tolerates lime, but may become chlorotic on very alkaline soils.

This chaenomeles can be placed in the sun or semi-shade. Flowers from March to May. The height of this plant is ca. 150cm. Prune in June. Deciduous. Before plating submerge the pot in a bucket of water for 10 minutes.
