We (Mike & Liz Donlan) moved to Ireland from the UK in April 2019 and moved into our home in Reiska at the end of June 2019. Our house is situated in 1 acre of land so is ideally suited for a small plant nursery.
UK Garden - 2010 to 2019
Our love of gardening started in 2010 and, when we moved to Ireland in 2019, we were more upset about leaving the garden than leaving the house!
The garden was relatively small and was Japanese-themed with a fabulous selection of Japanese maples, an oriental tea house, a Yin & Yang shaped lawn and a Koi pond. Please click on the photo to the right for a larger image.
We don't profess to be experts in gardening – everything we have learnt (and are still learning) has been done by trial and error.
Irish Garden – 2019 to date
Although we have a much larger garden in Ireland which we have been working on for the last 5 years, it is taking a completely different look to the one in the UK. Our love of Japanese maples has continued and we have been trying to build up our collection again. We also have a collection of Bonsai which, although not for sale, will be on show for customers to peruse.
As the nursery is based at our home, the garden will be open for customers to wander round and, indeed, we welcome you to look round. Below are a selection of photos of our garden taken in May 2023 - please click on images below to view larger photos.
