| This plant/cultivar has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit because it has proved to be reliable in appropriate conditions and a good performing plant.
It has wide-spreading, creeping branches covered in intense silver-blue foliage throughout the year, making it ideal as ground cover or for using on banks. Can be grown in large containers for patio or terrace use. Good in maritime areas.
Suitable for : Full sun on a wide range of soil conditions, except extremely wet. Hardy.
Height and spread after 10 years : 25cm x 1.2m (10in x 4ft). Will continue to grow larger.
Planting : Soak the rootball before planting. Plant a hole twice the diameter of the rootball or pot. Mix an organic soil improver and general fertisiler with the infill soil. Water regularly until established.
Care : Do not allow to dry out in drought conditions. Remove snow from foliage to prevent breakage of branches. If used for ground cover plant 80cm (31in) apart.
