Hosta 'Blue Cadet'
A neat, dense mound 30in wide x 15in high (75 x 38cm). Leaf blade 5 x 4in (13 x 10cm), of average substance, blue-green, mattt above and glaucous below slight dimplying when mature, edge flat, leaf folded, heart-shaped with a cuspidate tip and cupped lobes. Petiole narrow, light gray-green.
Flower: funnel-shaped, rich lavender, in a long, dense raceme on an upright, bare, light green, 22in (55cm) scape from mid- to late summer; fertile.
Cultivation Notes: Site in light shade all day. Leaves will turn dark green by late summer even if grown in good light to light shade. A vigorous, rapid increaser.
