Buddleja davidii 'Butterfly Candy Little Ruby'
Compact, mound forming woody perennial of lance-shaped, mid-green foliage and elegant, cone-shaped panicles. The outward-facing flower spikes formed of many ruby red blooms deliver graceful, yet vibrant, colour and a textured appearance. Spectacular border plant, but equally showy in containers on the patio.
Light: Full sun
Height & Spread: Approx 80cm tall
Flowering time: July to September
Care: For best results plant in moist fertile soil, water well once planted and ensure plants do not dry out whilst establishing. Pruning in early to mid-spring allows time for the new growth to mature and flower in the same year. Avoid pruning in winter, as it may lead to frost damage of new shoots.
