Rock Rose

A dense, bushy shrub with dark green leaves. From late Spring to Summer, red buds open to white flowers with yellow centres and stamens borne singly or in clusters of 2 or 3 blooms. Suitable for growing in a shrub border, on a sunny bank and in containers.

Suitable for : Plant in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil in a sheltered site in full sun.

Height and Spread in 10 years :1m (3ft) x 1.5m (5ft).

Planting : Soak the rootball before planting. Plant in a hole twice the diameter of the rootball or pot. Mix an organic soil improver and general fertiliser with the infill soil. Water regularly until established.

Care : Pinch back young plants after flowering to encourage bushiness. Remove dead or damaged growth in Spring.
